Covering the Moreton Bay region and focused primarily on the needs of local schools,  charities, community and Business organisation.

The Moreton Bay First Aid Volunteers provide reliable, experienced and well-equipped first aid staff to relieve event organisers of concerns regarding injury or illness of patrons.

  • All volunteers to be 18+;
  • Before being allowed to attend any events, your local group requires a copy of your current first aid & CPR certificates. If you do not have current qualifications then you’ll need to obtain these before becoming a full member.
  • We ask you to regularly attend our training nights to enhance your skills and keep your certifications current.
  • We ask you to volunteer at least 50 hours per year.
  • Blue Card – You will not be allowed to attend any events without your local group having a copy of your Blue Card (Working with Children).

Maintain and upgrade your training

  • As a member, we will maintain your current First Aid qualification and you have the opportunity to do Advanced First Aid training including resuscitation.  Pain Management training is also offered.
  • By attending regular events, you maintain your first aid skills by treating real patients in a variety of settings
  • If you have an interest or passion, you are most welcome to run a training night (or more) to teach the rest of the group.

We will maintain Your Qualifications

As part of the team we will ensure that your qualifications are maintained.  Every 4 months of the year we hold re accreditation days for members that require  to maintain their qualifications in the following

  • First Aid & CPR
  • Advanced First Aid
  • Advance Resuscitation Oxygen, AED, Airway Management
  • Pain Management
  • Asthma Management
  • Anaphylaxis Management

Be part of a team and develop leadership skills

We like to have fun at events (where possible!).  You will be mentored when you first start and will always be included as part of the team.  There are opportunities to do additional roles within the group such as being part of the Management Committee, Social Media, Stores, Event Co-Ordination.

You can also take on opportunities to run First Aid events from developing Operations Plans, liaising with event organisers, logistic co-ordination, running the event and developing post event summaries.


Once your paperwork has been accepted and you become an active member, you will be issued a uniform (shirt, pants and hat).
